Not all clouds are the same
We have been building our 4th Generation Private Cloud (GEN4) platform for IBM i and Windows workloads and we will be starting its rollout in March 2020.
What is the 4th Generation Private Cloud?
Evolution Systems has been providing cloud capabilities for over 15 years. We have now architected our 4th generation of private cloud infrastructure to bring you some of the best technology available today.
And we are not stopping there!
On top of these enhancements, we are also upgrading our core network infrastructure capacity to meet the growing demands of modern applications.
Our Power cloud clients will benefit from NVMe flash storage to ensure their workloads have the best possible throughout.
Our cloud for Windows and Linux is moving to a modern hyper converged platform which delivers significantly faster processors and storage, along with automated workload protection.
Here’s All You Need To Know
About The GEN4 Rollout And
How It Impacts You
Should I expect service outage?
Yes, there will be a planned outage of approx. 3 hours within a 6-hour window.
What do I need to prepare?
Nothing! Our technical experts will be migrating your environments and you don’t need to do anything.
When is the rollout starting?
To reduce risk and minimise disruption, we will be rolling out GEN4 in stages. We will begin by migrating our Power cloud clients storage on March 22nd, 2020.
The Windows workloads will be migrated to the hyperconverged technology along with the network enhancements and we will notify you ahead of time when the migration is going to take place.
Will there be an additional cost due to these improvements?
No, your cloud subscription pricing will remain the same. However, we will be doing a review of our rates later this year which might impact your pricing in the future.
