In Weeks, You Could Be…

How The Evolution Power Cloud Makes This Possible

The Evolution Power Cloud isn’t a public cloud adapted for enterprise workloads – it’s a private cloud platform we’ve designed, built, and refined through 5 generations over 15 years, specifically to support IBM Power environments, including IBM i and AIX, alongside Windows and Linux.

From the moment you move in:

Proven Results in the Power Cloud

Security Without Trade-Offs

In the Evolution Power Cloud, security is the operating principle. Every design choice, from architecture to access control, is made to ensure your systems remain protected without slowing you down.

You’ll also know every compliance requirement you face next year is already handled today:

Ongoing Partnership, Not Just a Platform

Running in the Evolution Power Cloud means our IBM Power specialists work alongside your team long after migration:

FAQs

How complex is the migration process for IBM Power workloads?

Migration is planned in phases to reduce operational risk. We start with a full environment audit, mapping dependencies between IBM i, AIX, Windows, and Linux workloads.

Replication is established to Evolution Power Cloud while your existing systems stay live. When both environments are in sync, a cutover is scheduled during your preferred maintenance window - often overnight or over a weekend. This approach allows most clients to migrate with only a few hours of planned downtime and no data loss.

Can Evolution Power Cloud integrate with systems we run in other environments?

Yes. Many clients operate hybrid architectures, with some workloads in the Evolution Power Cloud and others in public cloud or on-premises. We use secure, low-latency interconnects to link environments, so applications can exchange data without noticeable delay. This ensures you can modernise critical workloads in the Evolution Power Cloud for without having to move everything at once.

What happens if our workload requirements change after migration?

Capacity can be scaled up or down in small increments - even to as little as 0.05 of a core - without disruption. Storage can be expanded on demand, and performance can be tuned for seasonal or project-based peaks. This flexibility allows you to adjust resources to your actual needs instead of over-provisioning “just in case.”

How does Evolution Power Cloud support compliance and audit readiness?

All environments are operated under ISO 27001-certified controls, with detailed logging and audit trails available at any time. Data sovereignty is guaranteed, with all workloads and backups hosted in Australian Tier III and IV data centres. We also provide documented DR testing, security patching schedules, and configuration change histories so compliance reviews can be completed without reactive effort.

What’s the support model after go-live?

Evolution Power Cloud is a fully managed service. Our IBM Power specialists monitor performance, capacity, and replication status 24/7. You have direct access to senior engineers who know your environment - no first-tier call centres. Support also includes proactive optimisation, so we identify and resolve potential issues before they impact your operations.

Do I need current active IBM i software maintenance to migrate to the Evolution Power Cloud?

No, we can easily lift and drop your current environment into our cloud.

If your current operating system level is not a supported version, we can perform a multi step migration to complete the process.

Can you host AIX workloads in Evolution Power Cloud?

Yes. AIX runs alongside IBM i on the same IBM Power platform, in the same Australian Tier III and IV data centres, under the same ISO 27001 certified controls and the same fully managed service. IBM i is our largest workload type, but AIX environments get the same platform and the same phased migration approach.
