Evolution Systems has been headquartered in Mascot, Sydney since 2000. We have run our own private cloud infrastructure since 2010, and we have held ISO 27001 certification since 2016. Your workloads move to our private cloud without re-platforming. IBM i and AIX run on Evolution Power Cloud, Windows and Linux on Evolution Private Cloud, all fully managed.โ
Platform uptime
Fully managed private cloud designed and built to fit your environment, not to make you change it.
If you’re running IBM i or AIX and want to move to cloud without re-platforming
If you’re running Windows or Linux workloads that need dedicated, high-performance infrastructure
Tell us what you are running and we will show you how it would work in our cloud.
Ricoh’s IBM i platform was around eight years old, running on physical hardware approaching end of life with no room to grow. When Ricoh reviewed the major cloud providers it already worked with elsewhere in the business, none of them offered a viable path for IBM i.ย
“Evolution were a natural choice and are able to provide us with a cloud option for the iSeries.”
Mark BancroftHead of IT, Ricoh Australia
Having supported Ricoh’s IBM i platform since 2013, we led the move to Evolution Power Cloud in 2021. Our technicians ran the entire migration and set up dedicated network links for secure, high-speed access, so Ricoh’s team stayed focused on the business rather than the move. Software licensing, hardware and future upgrades are now folded into one predictable subscription instead of three separate budgets.
Before moving to Evolution Systems, FUJIFILM Australia’s IBM i environment was hosted with a provider that had limited IBM i expertise. Production data was backed up once every 24 hours, which meant a full day of exposure if something went wrong.
“Some of the key reasons we chose to go with Evolution were the fact that we knew that they are IBM i partners and experts in the IBM i area, and also the fact that they were proficient in our ERP system.”
Phil Tremble
Technical Operations Lead – Information Systems, FUJIFILM Australia
We built FUJIFILM a dedicated IBM i environment in our private cloud with integrated disaster recovery, backed by round-the-clock monitoring. Backups now run on a separate recovery instance, so the live production system is never interrupted by its own backup process.
Backed by Dell PowerFlex, our platform achieves 99.9999% uptime. Resilience is built in rather than bolted on, with geo-resilient clusters, automated replication and rapid failover across Tier III and Tier IV Australian data centres.
Recovery works the same way. Rather than quote a generic recovery target up front, we agree with you how much data you can afford to lose and how quickly you need to be back, then document those targets in your own Backup and Recovery Plan.
Not every workload needs to move at once, and not every workload needs to move at all. Hybrid Cloud allows you to run part of your infrastructure with us while the rest stays on-premises, so you can modernise in stages.
As part of Cloud Cost Optimisation, our team will review what you are already running, with us or elsewhere, to find where you are paying for capacity, licensing or resources you do not actually need.
IBM i and AIX run on Evolution Power Cloud, because those workloads need IBM Power hardware. Windows and Linux run on Evolution Private Cloud. Both sit inside the same private cloud and are fully managed by us, so what changes is the hardware underneath, not the service you get.
ย
Yes, and this is one of the main reasons organisations with complex environments come to us. Your IBM i or AIX systems and your Windows and Linux servers sit in the same private cloud estate, in the same data centres, on the same network. That means one environment, one team who knows all of it, and one point of contact, rather than splitting your infrastructure across two providers and coordinating between them yourself.
Yes. AIX workloads can run alongside IBM i in the Evolution Power Cloud, in the same Tier III and Tier IV data centres, under the same ISO 27001 certified controls and the same fully managed service. IBM i is our largest workload type, but AIX gets the same platform and the same migration approach.

Our technicians manage the entire migration, including setting up dedicated network links for secure, high-speed access to your new environment. We plan it in phases and run the project end to end, so your team is not absorbing the work on top of their day jobs.
No. Our Evolution Power Cloud is built specifically to host IBM i and AIX as they are, and Windows and Linux workloads can move into Evolution Private Cloud without application changes. Avoiding a re-platforming project is one of the main reasons why Australian mid-market organisations come to us rather than a hyperscaler.
Yes, and we have been since 2016, currently to ISO 27001:2022. Certification is not a one-off. We are reassessed through regular independent surveillance and recertification audits, and our cloud services are delivered under those certified processes.
No. Our head office is in Mascot, Sydney, and we support organisations across Australia as well as a number of international companies. Being headquartered in Sydney means Sydney clients get a local team, but it is not a limit on where we work.
